The Lost Princess
Faye thinks about the prophecy and her heart starts pounding against her chest. She gets the feeling somehow she is connected to this prophecy, but if that’s true where is her brother that is supposed to be just as powerful?
“Does my brother have something to do with The Dark King?” She questions.
Sahira looks at her and wonders if they should wait, this is the perfect opportunity.
“Yes,” it’s all that Sahira is able to get out still keeping eye contact with Faye.
“What aren’t you telling me? I know you all have been keeping something from me the moment I showed up here.” Faye says getting more agitated.
Screw it, Sahira thinks to herself. Faye is going to find out eventually.
“Fayette, The Dark King is Orion. The Dark King is your brother.”
Faye thinks about it for a few moments, it makes sense, why everything happened. It matches the stories she has been told about Orion but why keep it from her? It’s all too much to take in right now, after everything that has happened today this is the last thing she wants to think about.
“Uh-I-wha-“ Faye can’t put together a full sentence to demonstrate how she is feeling.
Sahira watches her and watches as about ten different emotions come across her face, the emotion she focuses on is anger and Sahira is a little nervous.
Faye composes herself and takes a deep steadying breath, “why did no one tell me? That’s a pretty big detail to keep from someone!”
“We didn’t want to dump all this information on you at once, we didn’t think you would be able to handle it.”
“Not be able-Bullshit! What’s the actual reason?” Faye is becoming more and more angry by the minute.
Sahira thought for a moment trying to think of a way out of this conversation but she couldn’t find one. “We thought it would be in your best interest if you didn’t know, that maybe it would help separate the two of them.”
Faye stares at her trying to come up with a valid reason not to start screaming but found none.
How could they do this?
Why lie about it? None of it makes sense.
